JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Polda Metro’s Head of Public Relations Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus explained a viral video showing an ambulance being chased and shot by police with tear gas.
The incident occurred during a riot demonstration against the Bus Act or the Job Creation Act in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/13/2020).
In the video you can see the ambulance walking backwards to avoid being chased by the police with all the doors open.

According to Yusri, the incident took place in the Menteng area of central Jakarta. “There was a viral on social media yesterday, where an ambulance was being chased by officers during the riots in the Menteng area,” Yusri told reporters at the Jakarta subway police headquarters on Wednesday (10/14 / 2020).
Yusri explained that the incident occurred when the police were conducting raids on several protesters who participated in the riot.
At that time, at least three vehicles were stopped, including several motorcycles and two ambulances.
