Vaccine for coronavirus developed by the manufacturer China, Sinovac Biotech and Sinopharm is ready for public use in early November 2020.

Wu Guizhen, chief biosafety expert at the China Center for Disease Control, told the CCTV broadcaster that the vaccine will be available to the general public “sometime in November or December.”

Guizhen did not specify which vaccine he was referring to, but said that “based on clinical results from phase 3, progress is currently very smooth.”

He also said that he had participated in the vaccination clinical trial in April and had been feeling fine for the past few months. Although he did not specify a candidate vaccine to inject into his body.

The two producers are optimistic about the vaccine development that is being developed. This statement was made amid global efforts rushing to complete the final round of heating up vaccine clinical trials.

Representatives of the two companies to AFP They said they hope that the developed vaccine will be approved after the third phase of trials to be carried out later this year.

There are currently nine vaccine candidates that are in their final stages of human trials, but recently some of them have encountered problems.

Last week, pharmaceutical giants AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford temporarily halted clinical trials of the vaccine after a volunteer proved he had an unexplained illness.

Several candidate vaccines in China have been tested in key workers under emergency use programs.

This month, a Sinovac spokesman told AFP that “tens of thousands” of people had volunteered to receive the vaccine, including 90 percent of its employees and their families of 2,000 to 3,000 people.

Meanwhile, in June, the Chinese military approved the use of a vaccine against its personnel. The vaccine was developed by research units and biotechnology companies.
