Chelsea vs West Ham: The Blues win 3-0

Chelsea finally got back on the winning track in the Premier League. The Blues beat West Ham United 3-0.

Competing at Stamford Bridge, Tuesday (12/22/2020) early morning WIB, Chelsea took the lead in the first half thanks to a goal from Thiago Silva. In the second half, the Blues added two goals through Tammy Abraham’s double.

This victory put Chelsea back on a positive path after previously losing to Everton and Wolverhampton. Chelsea temporarily rise to fifth place in the Premier League standings with 25 points and West Ham to tenth place with 21 points.

The course of the match

Chelsea was shocked by West Ham’s goal in the seventh minute through Declan Rice. Referee Chris Kavanagh ruled out the goal because Rice was already in an offside position when he received the ball.

Three minutes later, Chelsea were able to open a 1-0 lead. Thiago Silva broke Lukasz Fabianski’s net after returning home from a Mason Mount corner kick.

Until the game has been running for 20 minutes, West Ham has not been able to open fire. David Moyes’ team is busier to reduce pressure from Chelsea.

Werner nearly increased Chelsea’s lead. The German striker fired point-blank, but the ball still hit the crossbar.

There are no additional goals in the remaining time. Chelsea also closed the game with a 3-0 victory.
