BOLASPORT.COM – Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said money spent by the Blues to buy new players could not replace Eden Hazard.

Before the match against Tottenham Hotspur in Week 10 of the 2020-2021 Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (11/29/2020) at 11.30pm WIB, Frank Lampard spoke about former Chelsea player Eden Hazard.

Lampard said that so far there hasn’t been a single Chelsea player who has been able to replace Hazard’s role.

As is known, Hazard left for Real Madrid at the start of the 2019-2020 season after 7 seasons with Chelsea.

It was bought by Madrid for a fee of 90 million pounds (about 1.6 trillion rupees).

Chelsea spent the money from Hazard’s sale to bring in new players at the start of the 2020-2021 season.

The Blues spent 220 million pounds ($ 4.12 trillion) to buy new players, such as Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Edouard Mendy and Kai Havertz.

Still, Lampard believes that the money they spend to buy these players has not been able to replace Hazard at Chelsea.

For this reason, the 42-year-old coach asked his players not to think about taking over Hazard’s role at Chelsea.
