Chelsea loses, Lampard angry

Chelsea lost to Arsenal in the Premier League. The manager, Frank Lampard, was so angry that he said this.

Arsenal face Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Sunday (12/27/2020) in the morning WIB of week 15 Premier League. The Gunners are in an underdog position because they have swallowed four straight losses.

The Blues have the upper hand as they continue to compete at the top. But the surprise happened, Arsenal managed to beat Chelsea 3-1.

Mikel Arteta’s team went ahead 2-0 in the first half with a goal from Alexandre Lacazette on the point and Granit Xhaka with a brilliant free kick.

Arsenal increased the lead to 3-0 in the second half through Bukayo Saka. On the other hand, Chelsea were only able to reduce the loss to 1-3 before the match was completed through Tammy Abraham.

The result saw Arsenal move up one slot to 14th. Premier League standings while with 17 points. Chelsea is seventh with 25 points.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard was very disappointed with these results. In fact, he even got mad!

“I’m angry because I want us to win and we deserve this loss,” Lampard said. Sky Sports.

According to Lampard, the Chelsea team provided too much open space for the Arsenal players. In addition, he made a mistake that caused two goals to be conceded in the first half from set pieces.

“We were too easy to give them an open space and give them penalties and free throws. I’m very disappointed,” he said.

“We were so bad in the first half,” Frank Lampard continued.

Chelsea are now six points behind Liverpool in first place, but Liverpool will only compete against West Brom tonight.

Chelsea are also in a bad trend in the last five league games. Thiago Silva et al won two and lost three times.
