Jakarta –
The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) opened its voice about Col. Inf Luqman Arief from Dandim 0501 / Central Jakarta, who was turned away when he wanted to enter the alley of Habib Rizieq Syihab’s house. FPI said the incident was just a misunderstanding.
“Perhaps a misunderstanding,” said FPI deputy general secretary Aziz Yanuar when contacted on Friday (11/27/2020).
Colonel Inf Luqman Arief’s refusal incident occurred when TNI personnel were about to spray disinfectant around the home of FPI leader Habib Rizieq, Petamburan, Central Jakarta.
Luqman, who led the activity, conducted a sweep of Jalan Petamburan III. As they were about to spray the Gang Paksi, several members of the FPI paramilitaries guard the alley leading to Habib Rizieq’s house. They didn’t want to be sprayed all the way to Habib Rizieq’s house.
There was a bitter debate between Colonel Luqman Arief and the army guarding them. But in the end, TNI was only allowed to spray Jalan Petamburan III.
Luqman Arief said a disinfectant spray was done to prevent the spread of COVID-19 around the site. Despite being denied entry, Luqman Arief emphasized that Petamburan was still part of the Republic of Indonesia, nothing that was privileged.
“Like the others, nothing special. I just commented that we, this is the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, including Petamburan, it is still a sub-district. The rules, I think so,” Luqman said on the spot.
Luqman confirmed that the fumigation in Petamburan was just the beginning of a series of activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in his area. It will also carry out the same activities until the end of the year.
