jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The mud flow that appeared in the courtyard of a house, Jalan Lembur 1, Jatirangga Village, Jatisampurna, Bekasi City, is said to be harmless to local residents.
This was said by Camat Jatisampurna Wahyudin based on the results of a temporary investigation carried out by geologists working with the Bekasi city government.
“Yesterday we brought a geologist, he said, it was not dangerous, we estimate that in two or three days it will pass,” Wahyudin said when confirmed about the phenomenon that is said to resemble the tragedy of the Lapindo mud in Sidoarjo, on Monday ( 9/7).
However, the Bekasi city government together with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry continue to analyze the mud to ensure that it is not dangerous.
Today, the owner of the backyard has covered the location of the mud flow with stones and cement. This phenomenon also does not interfere with the condition of groundwater generally consumed by local residents.
“The mud material isn’t much either, more water,” Wahyudin said.
Previously reported, the mud flow occurred on Saturday (5/9) morning. The gusts started from gas that came out of the ground from the homeowner’s drilling.
Although the blast began with an explosive sound, there were no casualties from the phenomenon. (mcr1 / jpnn)
