Cagliari –
Inter Milan beat Cagliari even though they had fallen behind first. Antonio Conte is satisfied with the reaction his team has shown.
Inter will travel to the Cagliari headquarters at the Sardegna Arena in Week 11 of the Italian League, on Sunday (12/13/2020) in the afternoon WIB. They closed the first half losing 1-0 after Riccardo Sottil scored in the 41st minute.
However, Inter got up in the second half. Nerazzurri He bought three goals each through Nicolo Barella, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Romelu Lukaku.
This victory is a cure for Inter, recently eliminated from the Champions League. They were eliminated after just a 0-0 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Antonio Conte said he was satisfied with Inter’s performance at home against Cagliari. He felt that his team had shown a good response after falling behind creating many opportunities.
“The children deserve praise, we played well, we created many chances in the first half, but we were one goal behind. This situation may have an effect, the children reacted well,” Conte told DAZN as reported by Italian Football.
“A coach has to worry about his team not creating attacks. (Alessio) Cragno (Cagliari goalkeeper) is the man of the match. Goalkeeper Shakhtar also made a good save on Wednesday,” Conte added.
“There are two aspects to this game, we created a lot of opportunities but we couldn’t maximize them all. Sometimes you have to cross the line,” he continued.
“We are disappointed by the two goalless draws against Shakhtar that knocked us out, it is not easy to reverse an unfair result,” said Antonio Conte.
Inter Milan are now in second place in the Italian League standings with 24 points from 11 games. Alexis Sanchez and others are three points behind AC Milan at the top.
