PALEMBANG, KOMPAS.com – The Lieutenant Governor of South Sumatra, Mawardi Yahya, was bombarded with stones by protesters protesting against the general law of the Job Creation Act.
Mawardi was stoned because he refused to sign an attitude statement offered by the students.
As a result, Mawardi was immediately evacuated by the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) and entered the room to avoid the launch.

Monitoring in the field, the mass of previous actions presented an attitude letter declaring the ratification of the Intellectual Property Law.
However, Mawardi rejected the student’s application because he admitted that he had not read the bill in question carefully.
Seeing the rejection, the crowd was immediately excited and the situation heated up, causing bottles and stones to fly towards the deputy governor of South Sumatra.

Members of Satpol PP were provoked to watch the launch, so Palembang Police Chief Kombes Anom Setiyadji immediately intervened to calm the protesters.
“Pol PP please come in, don’t be provoked,” Anom said through a speaker.
