Gerindra Party cadres, Arief poyuono asked the general chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto speak to the public about the alleged corruption case that caught the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Edhy prabowo.
According to him, Prabowo should not keep silent because all Gerindra’s cadres are awaiting his instructions and orders after Edhy became a suspect of corruption of the lobster seed or fingerling export license.
“Let’s talk about Mas Bowo, we are waiting for his directions and orders, where the party will go,” Poyuono said via written message on Thursday (11/26).
“I asked Mas Bowo to speak, speak, not remain silent in a thousand languages and to take responsibility for this shameful incident for our party,” Poyuono added.
The former vice president of Gerindra said that Prabowo should speak immediately and apologize to the public for Edhy’s alleged corruption case.

According to him, Gerindra’s position on the Edhy case could not be conveyed by the chairman of the DPP Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
“How is it that my president general keeps silent, goes out, shows himself to the public and apologizes to the public regarding Edhy? Don’t limit yourself to the daily president speaking in public,” he said.
Poyuono believes that the man who is now Defense Minister is not a coward. According to him, Prabowo’s statement about Edhy was very important because it involved Gerindra’s future.
“Mas Bowo spoke because it is about the safety of the Gerindra Party in the future, which has been built with difficulty and sweat so far to become the second largest party in Indonesia,” he said.
Confirmed separately, Dasco refused to respond to Poyuono’s statement, who previously stated that the KPK (OTT) arrest operation against Edhy shattered Prabowo’s aspirations to become president.
Dasco admitted that he only wanted to respond to statements made by capable figures.
“I do not respond to what was broadcast, because I only respond to opinions expressed by capable people,” Dasco told reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday (11/26).
The KPK has named Edhy and six others as suspects of corruption in the export license of lobster seeds or fingerlings. It is believed that the Gerindra Party politician received a sum of money in the account amounting to Rp9.8 billion.
Six other suspects, namely the special staff of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo, Andreau Misanta Pribadi and Safri; Management of PT Aero Citra Kargo (ACK), Siswadi; Edhy’s wife Ainul Faqih’s staff; Amiril Mukminin; and the Director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa (DPP), Suharjito.
Prabowo is known to have made no statement regarding the determination of Edhy’s suspect status to date. However, during the 2019 presidential election debate, Prabowo once said that he himself would put his cadres in jail if they were proven corrupt.
