BEKASI, KOMPAS.com – Up to two people tested positive for Covid-19 when the swab examined by the PCR (polymerase chain reaction) method on the market in the city of Bekasi on Sunday (05/10/2020).
The Bekasi city government conducts random swab tests on merchants and buyers in 14 markets in 12 Bekasi sub-districts.
Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi said two people who tested positive for Covid-19 were not Bekasi residents.
“There are two first people named R residents of Kebalen, Bekasi Regency and S residents of Leuwiyang, Bogor Regency. Both were found at the Wisma Asri market,” said Rahmat in Bekasi, on Monday (11/05/2020).

Rahmat said swab samples taken from the East Bekasi, North Bekasi and Medan Satria markets had already been examined.
Officers are still reviewing swab samples taken from the market in nine other districts.
“Hopefully in the afternoon or tomorrow morning there will be news of the concrete swab process,” he said.
Transmitted, after discovering that there were two Covid-19 positive individuals, he immediately notified the respective regional chiefs.
Rahmat said the two people who tested positive for Covid-19 were people with no symptoms.

They do not feel sick and remain active in the market. In fact, one of them still trades chickens every day on the market.
