There are already three people named as suspects. Namely Bripka MJH (35) and DC (39) who are ASN and who are also members of Perbakin Nabire.

The other is the initials FHS (39) who is a former member of TNI-AD.

Delivering a press release in Jayapura on Monday (11/2) afternoon, accompanied by TNI Military General Commander XVII / Cenderawasih Herman Asaribab, Inspector General Paulus said that the three suspects were charged under the Article 1 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951.

The three suspects, together with the evidence in the form of three firearms, namely the M16, M4 and Glock types, were secured at the Papua Police for further processing.

Inspector General Pol Waterpauw explained that, from the results of the investigation, it was also revealed that members of the police on duty at Brimob Kelapa Dua had brought firearms to Nabire seven times with salaries ranging from 10 million euros. rupees and 30 million rupees, depending on the type of firearm they were carrying.

The firearms were sold to customers through DC at prices ranging from Rs 300 million to Rs 350 million, depending on the type.

Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw said his men were currently still looking for a warrant, namely SK.

“So far the decree has not been found, so investigators have not been able to request information from the person concerned,” said Paulus Waterpauw.

The Papua police chief admitted that members on the ground had long been monitoring the case of the purchase and sale of firearms to armed criminal groups (KKB).

Since the KKB action, especially in the Intan Jaya area, is currently increasing, causing casualties, both civilians and security forces.

The case was revealed after there was information about the entry of two MI16 and M4 firearms that were entered by Timika into Nabire.

Based on this information, an investigation was carried out and it was finally revealed by securing Bripka MJH from a time when he arrived in Nabire via Timika and Makassar.
