DIY NEWS – The government will continue to budget for assistance for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in 2021 as an effort to develop small industries in the context of the national economic recovery (PEN).

This was expressed by the Vice President, Ma’ruf Amin, when he opened an online strategic coordination meeting for the implementation of services for young people in Jakarta.

“The programs for the recovery of MSMEs and the business world will still be budgeted for next year (2021) so that they can be used as part of the efforts to develop youth entrepreneurship,” said Ma’ruf Amin as reported by Antara, the Friday, October 23, 2020.

In 2020, Ma’ruf continued, the Government has implemented policies for the recovery of the business world, especially those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy is contained in the funds of the PEN program, whose budgetary allocations are granted to MIPYMES and corporations.

“Out of the total funding allocation for the 2020 PEN program of Rs 695.2 trillion, Rs 128 trillion is allocated to MSMEs, while Rs 170 trillion is earmarked for corporate and corporate sector incentives , including the BUMN (state companies), “he explained.

The Vice President hopes that the budget allocation will be used properly, including in efforts to increase the capacity of micro and small business activities through the provision of training and skills, so that small industrial products can have added value.

“This should be done considering that most of our workers have low skills, low levels of education, use simple technology, have limited access to raw materials and marketing, and have limited access to capital,” he said.
