DIY NEWS – The government recorded that the implementation of the Productive Micro Business Banpres (BPUM) program reached 79.61 percent.

The Assistant Expert III of the Presidential Personnel Office (KSP) Aji Erlangga said that the government is optimistic that the Presidential Assistance Program (Banpres) for stage one and two MSMEs can reach 12 million microentrepreneurs.

“The completion of the UMKM Banpres Program to date has reached 79.61 percent of the total 100 percent planned to be completed on December 31, 2020,” Aji Erlangga said in a written statement on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

If only 79.61 percent, it means that BPUM has only been distributed to around 9.55 million MSMEs. There is still the possibility that 2 million MSMEs will receive this assistance.



The President’s assistance to the MSMEs sector aims to provide a capital boost for microentrepreneurs to keep businesses and businesses running amid the pandemic and help reduce poverty and unemployment.

This is in line with President Joko Widodo’s hopes that MSMEs actors can survive and not be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The second phase of the Banpres Productive Microenterprise Program was distributed to the community of MSMEs in Indonesia with a total of Rp. 28.8 billion for 12 million microentrepreneurs,” said Aji.
