BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Reveals Cause 1.6 Million Accounts Failed To Get Wage Subsidies

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – BPJS Ketenagakerjaan determined 1.6 million invalid account numbers to continue receiving Rs 600,000 wage subsidy assistance.

“Of the validation results, there were 12.5 million registered as valid, however, 1.6 million were not valid and could not continue because they did not meet the criteria of the Ministerial Regulation of Manpower”, said the general director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Agus Susanto, on Tuesday (9/8/2020) quoted from Kontan.co.id.

The number of 1.6 million accounts was found from a total of 14.5 million account numbers that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan collected as of September 8, 2020.

Permenaker number 14 of 2020 on the Guidelines for the provision of government assistance in the form of wage subsidies for labor workers in managing the impact of Covid-19.

According to the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration, the requirements for workers receiving wage subsidies are Indonesian citizens (WNI), as evidenced by a population identification number, registered as active participants in the BPJS social security program Ketenagakerjaan as evidenced by a membership number, workers / need wage / salary recipients, membership until June 2020.

Another requirement is that an active participant in the social security program for employment who pays contributions with the amount of the contribution calculated based on a salary / salary less than 5 million IDR according to the last salary / salary reported by the employer to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and who has an active bank account.
