Solo, CNN Indonesia – Mayor Alone, Central Java FX Hadi Rudyatmo criticized the steps of the president Joko Widodo which increases the rates BPJS Health as outlined in Perpres No. 64 in 2020. According to him, policies are increasingly burdening people who have been affected by the coronavirus (Covid-19)
“The president’s policy is not correct, whether we can’t wait for the next fiscal year or until the pandemic ends, or at least it will lessen,” he said when he met at the Solo City Council on Thursday (5/14).
The Perpres, he continued, really provided relief to the JKN-KIS participants who were behind. They can reactivate the JKN-KIS membership by paying a 6 month delay, even though the arrears are really more than that. The arrears payment in question is due no later than 2021.
However, he recalled that so far many people have been fired. Companies and MSMEs also have a low turnover.
“Doesn’t it cause people suffering? Thinking that eating is difficult is actually telling them to pay the arrears,” he said.
The Perpres, he continued, also has the potential to induce the Solo City government to owe it to BPJS. In addition to paying contribution assistance beneficiaries (PBI), the City Government is also burdened with subsidies for non-salaried employees (PBPU) in the amount of Rp. 16,500.
Also, the 2020 municipal government budget has been depleted to handle Covid-19 since last March.
“We estimate that we owe it to BPJS from June to December. We have told BPJS that we will pay it in 2021,” he said.
Previously, Jokowi’s decision to increase the Health BPJS participation rate was contained in Presidential Regulation Number 64 Year 2020 regarding the Second Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 82 Year 2018 regarding Health Insurance. The Perpres was signed by Jokowi on May 5.
The participation rate of Mandiri class III members is expected to increase by Rp. 25,500 per participant per month at Rp. 35 thousand per participant per month or 37.25 percent in 2021 and so on.
Then, the Mandiri class II rates will increase from Rp51 thousand to Rp100 thousand per participant per month and Mandiri class I from Rp80 thousand to Rp150 thousand per participant per month from July 2020. (syd / bmw)
