BPJS goes up, Jokowi is called to make people ambitious and miserable

“People will be lost if the government’s attitude is like this,” Irwan told reporters on Thursday (5/14).

Irwan stated that the increase in BPJS health rates has the potential to make people unable to pay premiums for neglecting the provision of health insurance.

According to him, the issuance of regulations amid the government’s inability to deal with Covid-19 further increased the suffering of ordinary people.

“The government has not provided health services to the people of Indonesia,” he added.

Irwan also claimed that a series of government measures during the coronavirus pandemic like this were really contradictory and tended to save more energy.

Similarly, Commission IX member of the PKS Faction Netty Prasetyani stated that the Second Amendment to Perpres No. 82 of 2018 on Health Insurance made people more miserable and ambitious.

According to him, the government is not sensitive to the atmosphere of mysticism and the economy of people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

“This growth policy makes life more difficult for people and makes them more miserable and ambitious,” said Netty.

He claimed that the government gave the community a bad gift before Eid al-Fitr 1441 H. According to him, the government should focus on managing coronavirus related health using the prepared health budget.

“Don’t confuse people with conflicting and confusing policies,” said Netty.

Previously, Jokowi raised BPJS ‘health fees nearly double the current position. This decision was made shortly after the Supreme Court canceled the increase in BPJS Health contributions by 100 percent in early 2020.

The increase is indicated in Presidential Regulation Number 64 Year 2020 with respect to the Second Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 82 Year 2018 with respect to Health Insurance. The regulation was signed by Jokowi on May 5.
