BLT UMKM uptake is not yet 100 percent, commercial players can still register

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki said that the registration for the Presidential Productive Assistance (Banpres) or Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) program of Rp 2.4 million was still open.

Because he said, as of September 2020, BLT UMKM absorption has not yet reached 100 percent.

“As of September 21, 2020 (BLT UMKM takeover) has only reached 64.5 percent, while recently from August to September it reached 72.46 percent. It is still open (registration) until the takeover is 100 percent, “he said when contacted by Kompas.com. Jakarta, Wednesday (9/29/2020).

The Minister for Cooperatives asked all persons who would like to obtain this assistance to immediately register or apply to the Head of Regency / Municipal Head of the Cooperative Office for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Kadiskop UKM) in their respective regions.

When registering, the public is requested to bring the required data, such as National Identity Number (NIK), Identity Card (KTP), residential address, business field and telephone number.

Previously, Teten emphasized that the assistance is not provided to just any microentrepreneurial actor, but to microentrepreneurs who really meet the requirements they deserve.

The requirements are that micro-entrepreneurs who do not receive working capital and investment credit from banks (unbanked), business actors are Indonesian citizens, have a Population Identification Number (NIK), have a micro-business as evidenced by a letter proposal of the applicant, not a member of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), TNI / Polri or BUMN / BUMD employees.

“This is aid in the form of grants, not loans. Therefore, those who can get this help are the ones who cannot receive funds,” Teten said.

The Minister of Cooperatives also said that micro-entrepreneurs who want to obtain this assistance can register or apply for it even if the address of their workplace is different from the address in the KTP.

As he said, the main requirement is that you have to apply for a Commercial Certificate (SKU) from the village where you work, which you must deliver at the time of application or registration.
