TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The government, through the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, will continue the assistance program for microentrepreneurs in 2021.

Microentrepreneurs will receive BLT UMKM of Rs 2.4 million in a single disbursement.

Kemenkop-UKM is currently submitting a proposal to extend the BLT UMKM provision to the Ministry of Finance.

“Our hope is that at the beginning of the first semester it will be completed,” said Hanung Harimba Rachman, finance deputy at the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, quoted by Kompas.com.

As for BLT UMKM target recipients, Hanung proposed, as did the 2020 recipients, that is, up to 12 million microentrepreneurs.

So that the total beneficiaries of BLT UMKM or Productive Banpres for Micro Enterprises (BPUM) becomes 24 million people.

The Minister for Cooperatives and UKM (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki has also put forward a proposal to extend the BLT provision to UMKM, some time ago.

Teten said his party was proposing to the PEN Committee that the UMKM BLT program could be extended until 2021.

“Our data have already exceeded 12 million MSMEs, perhaps they can be proposed to accept next year those that do not obtain it now and are proposing to the PEN Committee for its extension,” said Teten when contacted by Kompas .com, on Wednesday (11/25/2020).

Teten added that this program is provided free of charge to help microenterprise actors affected by the pandemic to resume their business activities.
