JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Ida Fauziyah, admits that the BLT funds of wage subsidy or wage subsidy (BSU) this year are not allocated in the APBN 2021.

“Meanwhile, the APBN 2021 of BSU is not assigned. We will see what the next economic condition will be like,” Ida said during a working visit in Medan, according to a quote from Between, Sunday (1/31/2021).

Some time ago, Ida Fauziyah also said that she could not confirm that the distribution of wage subsidies this year would continue. This was transmitted to the ranks of Commission IX DPR RI, during a working meeting to evaluate the program a few days before.

The decision to continue or not the BLT salary subsidy depends on the Coordinating Minister of Economy, as well as the President of the Covid-19 Management Committee and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) Airlangga Hartarto.

“For APBN 2021, we have not received an order to redistribute the wage subsidy assistance program. I think we have an evaluation and assessment that we will give to the coordination of the Coordinating Minister of the Economy ”, said Ida.

Also, he said, the wage subsidy assistance program will be implemented again if the Indonesian economy is still not stable due to the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic.

“If indeed the economic condition has not returned to normal, I think we can consider our discussion of the evaluation program (BLT wage subsidy) again to be carried out in 2021,” he said.

Meanwhile, for workers who have not received the help of the BLT wage subsidy in the second term (November-December 2020), their party will try to return to the distribution this January. With conditions, if the recipient’s data experiences these limitations, they can be resolved.

“Therefore, it is to be expected that in January this will have received in the first wave and exactly the data already Sure “Everything will return, we will ask the National Treasury to channel it back,” he said.

To help workers out of providing wage subsidy assistance as was done in 2020, he said, the government has carried out and continues to carry out various programs.

He said that the Ministry of Manpower as one of the ministries that has a central role in the preparation of superior human resources, for example, always tries to establish synergies and collaborations with the business world and the industrial world (DUDI).

Synergy and collaboration with DUDI, for example, especially in the policy-making process in the field of vocational training.

“One form of synergy and collaboration carried out is the signing of the MoU on cooperation between the Directorate General of Binalattas and BBPLK Medan with partners such as PHRI (Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association),” said Ida.

Cooperation, he said, in terms of training and increased competition, as well as apprenticeships and job placement for potential workers and laborers.

“This cooperation is a very good step. Companies and associations also benefit from assistance to improve the competence of their workers so that they meet the required qualifications,” said Ida.

Another advantage, he said, is that companies will also gain higher productivity as a result of increased competition.

“For the government, this is one of the steps to help overcome the unemployment problem by absorbing a competent workforce,” said the politician from the National Awakening Party (PKB).

He emphasized that in the long term, this form of collaboration will produce a multiplier effect that will have a positive impact.

Both for workers, businesses and the government included, especially in reducing the rising unemployment rate due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
