JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia, revealed that entrepreneurs often make various “moves” to smooth their business.
He said, there are entrepreneurs who are good, but there are also those who still need guidance.
Bahlil conveyed this in front of President Joko Widodo at the signing ceremony of foreign investment companies (PMA) and national capital companies (PMDN), as well as micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MIPYMES), on Monday (1/18/2021 ).
“We are honest, sir, there are people who are horrified by this policy because we will serve the business well, but entrepreneurs must also understand, they have to involve local children. So far, sir, there are too many pencak silat.” Bahlil told through the YouTube transmission of the Presidential Secretariat.

“There are good entrepreneurs, there are entrepreneurs who are much more than should be given that orientation, sir,” he said.
However, Bahlil said, the government did not want to be defeated by the businessmen.
As directed by the Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments (Menko Marinves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, it is the state that must regulate entrepreneurs, and not the other way around.
Therefore, to carry out this program, Bahlil asked all regional heads to ensure that investors who want to invest involve MSMEs.
In January 2021, the cooperation that was established through this program involved 196 great entrepreneurs and 56 UMKM players. As for the value of cooperation, it reaches 1.5 trillion rupees.

Bahlil said that this type of cooperation will continue in the coming months as an effort to increase the regional and national economy.
“If someone reports, sir, that BKPM is now a bit ruthless on this matter, we are doing all of this in the context of fairness,” Bahlil said.
“Because if we expect entrepreneurs to notice, sir, yes, I’m a former entrepreneur, then it’s a bit of a problem, sir,” he continued.

On the same occasion, Jokowi welcomed this program. He asked large entrepreneurs not to prioritize their own businesses but also to involve MSMEs.
“Big companies shouldn’t just worry about the company itself,” Jokowi said.
“Please look at the environment where there are medium-sized companies, there are small companies, there are micro-companies, they are involved in the activities of the company, so that these businesses rise,” he said.
