BIN denies that FPI members are arrested

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The VII deputy of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Wawan Hari Purwanto, denied that the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) detained BIN members.

This was broadcast by Wawan in response to the FPI statement that they arrested officers suspected of being BIN members.

“Recently, the news circulated that the FPI arrested three members of BIN. All of these are hoaxes. There are no names of BIN members as reported by FPI. All those mentioned by FPI are clearly not BIN members, also known as fake BIN members, “Wawan said in a written statement, on Sunday (12/20/2020).

“There is also no operation called the Delima operation in BIN. Why do you follow the FPI leadership? You can meet directly, “he continued.

Wawan said that the membership cards used by the three people claiming to be BIN members were also fake and different from BIN’s.

According to Wawan, many people claim to be members of BIN in various regions of Indonesia and many have also been sentenced to court.

“Furthermore, carrying an identity card is not possible in an intelligence operation. Also, it is said that there are 22 deputies, there are not 22 deputies in BIN, ”said Wawan.

He said that in BIN there is also no written sprint order to perform any operations.

Therefore, if there is a written order containing the name and opcode, Wawan makes sure it is not true. This is because in BIN it is not known that there are operational assignments written in an order.

“If there are people who claim to be from BIN, report it to the authorities. Make it clear and complete legally and not fried on the stage of public opinion,” said Wawan.

Earlier, a video circulated of three alleged BIN members who were arrested by the FPI, three days before the shooting of six FPI members on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
