Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Fiji’s Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama appears to be the world’s first head of state to send a congratulatory message to Joe Biden, the candidate for President of the United States (USA), although there are no official results yet and the counting of the US presidential elections continues.
Joe Biden and his Democratic running mate Kamala Harris won the US presidential election defeating the incumbent Donald Trump-Mike Pence after winning as many as 290 electoral votes.
According to AP data on Sunday morning (8/11/2020) Indonesian time, Biden won 290 electoral votes, while incumbent Donald Trump had only 214 electoral votes. The number exceeds the threshold of 270 electoral votes out of a total of 538 electoral votes in order to win the US presidential election, so that Biden is sure to win the US presidential election.

This agreement will enter into force in 2020. This agreement was negotiated by 195 country representatives at the 21st United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Paris, France.
