KOMPAS.com – Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton successfully won the Belgian Formula 1 (F1) Grand Prix race.
The Belgian F1 GP race was held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, on Sunday afternoon (8/30/2020) WIB.
The result of the Belgian GP became Hamilton’s fourth victory in seven series this season.
Hamilton’s appearance at the Belgian Grand Prix this time was perfect because the British driver was always in the lead from the first lap.
Hamilton, on the podium of the Belgian GP champion, was joined by his teammates, Valtteri Bottas, and Red Bull rider Max Verstappen.
This is also Hamilton’s fourth victory at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit after 2010, 2015 and 2017.
Overall, this is Hamilton’s 89th win in his entire F1 career.

The course of the race:
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who started the race from first place immediately led until lap 9.
Hamilton was followed by his teammate, Valtteri Bottas, and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, in the top three.
On lap 10, Hamilton was 1.9 seconds ahead of Bottas. The lead was the widest in the first 10 laps between Hamilton and Bottas.
Meanwhile, Verstappen is still far behind more than six seconds behind Hamilton in third place.
On lap 11, there was a collision between George Russell (Williams Racing) and Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) until safe car enter the path.
In the live broadcast, Giovinazzi lost control of his car and crashed into the wall of the track.

Russell, who was behind him, was unable to avoid the wreckage of Giovinazzi’s car that had spread across the track.
Russel finally lost control after crashing into some debris and his car hit the wall of the track.
The collision caused a yellow flag to be raised, which meant that cyclists had to be careful and slow down when passing the crash site.
The yellow flag was no longer waved and the safety car abandoned the pass on lap 14.
The top three position still did not change going into lap 15, with Hamilton leading followed by Bottas and Verstappen.
On lap 16, Hamilton reported experiencing radio engine problems.
However, Hamilton still led the race with a 1.2-second lead over Bottas on lap 17.

Ferrari driver duo Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc participated in crossing the 13th and 14th position on lap 18.
Until lap 20, Pierre Gasly (Scuderia AlphaTauri) was the only rider who had not yet pitched.
Hamilton on lap 27 still leads this time with a 3,921sec lead over Bottas, who remains in second place.
Hamilton is also the rider with the fastest lap time on lap 27, which is 1 minute 47.852 seconds.
Pierre Gasly finally pitted on lap 27.
On lap 35, Bottas and Verstappen struggled. Bottas in a radio report admitted that his left leg was numb and he had difficulty applying the brakes.
On the other hand, Verstappen told his team that the vibrations in his car were getting worse.
On lap 37, Hamilton continued to lead and is now 6.002 seconds behind Bottas in second place.
The distance between Bottas and Verstappen in third place reached 5.6 seconds on lap 39.
In the last five laps, the first three positions have not changed. Lewis Hamilton continued to hold the leadership position until the end of the Belgian Grand Prix followed by Bottas and Verstappen.
