Koopsus TNI is an elite force formed from 3 dimensions, namely the TNI of the dimensions of land (AD), sea (AL) and air (AU). Koopssus TNI’s elite team was formed directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) based on Presidential Decree Number 42 of 2019 on the Organizational Structure of the Indonesian National Army (TNI).

Based on the Presidential Decree, these troops were formed to face threats that have a high escalation and could endanger the state ideology, state sovereignty, the territorial integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and protect the entire nation. Indonesia.

In article 46B paragraph (1) of the Presidential Decree, the various tasks of this elite team are written. In short, Koopssus TNI is tasked with conducting special operations to save national interests within or outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.

TNI Koopssus is led by Dankoopssus, who reports to and is accountable to the TNI commander. TNI Dankoopssus is led by a high ranking 2-star official. In TNI’s organizational structure, TNI Koopssus is incorporated into the central executive body.

TNI Special Forces coordinate 3 elite troops from each dimension, namely Den-81 Kopassus, Den-Jaka Marines and Sat-Bravo Paskhas. TNI Koopssus unites the 3 elite units to conduct joint operations.

Returning to the viral video of the Koopsus TNI ‘mejeng’ tactical vehicle in front of the FPI headquarters, in addition to Maung, two black trucks, a patrol car and a PM motorcycle escorted the group. Sirens sounded from the TNI vehicle ‘howling’ for a while until they finally left the scene.
