“According to the test results, the driver temporarily lost concentration while driving his car,” he told reporters on Saturday (09/26) afternoon.

“So when he was driving through the scene, he took his cell phone off the dash of the car because he wanted to send a WhatsApp message,” he continued.

However, Zezen explained, his cell phone fell under the car to be precise under the car seat. The driver then tried to remove the dropped cell phone.

“Well, when I took the cell phone, the car accelerated uncontrollably to the left of the road. The point is that the driver does other activities besides holding the wheel. Yes, it is working on my cell phone while I drive (play while I drive)” he explained.

Zezen added that the driver of the car, with the initials WL (29), is a resident of Tuguraja, Cihideung, Tasik City. He’s alone in that car. When you were asked for a driver’s license (SIM), you didn’t have it.

“The case is still under investigation until now. Yes, it does not have SIM,” he added.

Kasatlantas Polresta Tasikmalaya, AKP Bayu Tri Nugraha appealed to road users to obey the law when driving on the road.

“Because the road is public property. So if we are not careful, we will endanger the lives of others,” he said.

Bayu explained that the driver of the car in this case was not running, but was careless. And I still don’t have a SIM.
