HUALIEN, KOMPAS.com – A survivor of a train accident in Taiwan recounts the seconds before the incident occurred on Friday (2/4/2021).

Chung Hui-mei, the only survivor from his family of four, said the driver repeatedly honked his horn before the collision.

The woman immediately suspected something was wrong, but the train didn’t seem to slow down one bit.

The engineer honked his horn, which meant there was something ahead, but he didn’t slow down, Chung said.

The youngest victim on record so far is six years old.
