jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Executive Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi), Edi Hasibuan, highlighted the mention of the name of the Chief of Criminal Investigation of the National Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, by the former Inspector General of Kadiv Hubinter Polri, Napoleon Bonaparte.
Napoleon previously testified in the trial of the alleged bribery case related to the removal of the name Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra (Djoko Tjandra) from the National Police’s red list of notices.
Napoleon Bonaparte testified on behalf of the defendant Tommy Sumardi. Napoleon, who was also charged in the same case, dragged the name of the Chief of the Criminal Police and Criminal Investigation, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in a trial held by the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/24) .
According to Edi, the mention of Kabareskrim’s name is irrational and misleading.
“I think the confession is misleading and highly dubious. NB (Napoleon Bonaparte) said that TS (Tommy Sumardi) received Kabareskrim’s blessing. Meanwhile, TS himself never claimed to have received his blessing,” Edi said in his statement, the Friday (11/27).
This criminal law expert from the University of Bhayangkara in Jakarta called on all parties to be careful and prudent when responding to NB’s statement.
Edi also said that NB’s statements tended to be political, considering that the Criminal Investigation Agency was one of the candidates for the National Police, who had the opportunity to replace General Idham Azis.
“We see the issue of Djoko Tjandra being deliberately fried to reduce eligibility,” the police observer said.
