BOGOR DISTRICT, KOMPAS.com – Bahar bin Smith’s lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, confirmed that his party would immediately present a preliminary judgment on the determination of the suspect against his client.

Previously, Bahar bin Smith was again identified as a suspect by the police, for allegedly carrying out the assault together.

“So politically, we will ask DPR Commission III to pay attention to this criminalization, because before there was peace and the withdrawal of the report to the police. But why is it still being processed? This clearly shows the criminalization of Bahar.” Aziz told police. Kompas.com when contacted, Tuesday (10/27/2020).

Aziz stated that his party and Bahar bin Smith would refuse when asked to take an examination and testify on the news of the inspection event (BAP).

“Whatever the form related to Habib Bahar, the steps are to go straight to court in court, without the need for BAP. So if you want to penalize him right away, you don’t have to complicate the formality of the procedure, which is a nonsense and a fabrication, “Aziz said.

“We reject for that and Habib Bahar also rejects according to our instructions the power of law,” he said.

According to Aziz, the victim, also known as the reporter, has in fact declared a peace agreement on the persecution case that occurred in 2018.

Aziz said the victim has also withdrawn the police report.

“The fact is that in 2018 there has been peace and the withdrawal of the report. So this is no longer an attempt to silence it, but the criminalization is very real,” he said.

Previously, the police named Bahar bin Smith as a suspect, because he allegedly carried out the assault together.

This is known based on letter number B / 4094 / X / 2020 / Directorate General of Criminal Investigation of the West Java Regional Police issued in Bandung on October 21, 2020.

In the letter, Bahar was named a suspect according to a report on September 4, 2018, with the reporter named Adriansyah.
