Babe Haikal’s “Dream of Meeting Rasulullah” Report Will Be Investigated by Police

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV– Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Head of Public Relations Yusri Yunus said that the police had received a report related to the “dream of meeting the Prophet” experienced by 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) spokesperson Haikal Hassan, which generally it’s called Babe Haikal.

“The report has just been released while investigators are still investigating it. We will tell you later how it is progressing,” Yusri said at the Jakarta Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Thursday (12/17/2020).

According to Yusri, the results of the Ditkrimsus Polda Metro Jaya investigation will determine whether the report will be elevated to investigative level or not. Through research, it is a first step towards the level of figuring things out.

If the Babe Haikal dream case continues to the next stage, the police will inevitably summon the parties involved. “Later we will say if the investigation comes up inviting, later we will say it,” he said.

Babe Haikal’s dream report was delivered by the Islamic Struggle Forum secretary general, Hussein Shihab. Babe Haikal is suspected of spreading rumors of blasphemy and religious blasphemy that could cause an uproar as stated in article 28 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law and article 156 letter a of the Penal Code and / or article 14 and article 15 of the Law No. 1 of 1946 on Criminal Law Regulations.
