Jakarta –
The government requires that people wear masks when they are out of their homes to prevent the spread of the Corona virus. Simply getting a mask is not easy, there is also an exorbitant price.
This condition inspired Ismail Fahmi, founder of the Emprit Drone, to launch MaskerChallenge’s # 100 million movement. This movement invites anyone who can produce and sell masks to provide to the general community.
Producers were asked to mention their WhatsApp profile and to contact Ismail Fahmi’s Twitter account. It turns out that this movement is in high demand.
From here, Automate.id moves to create a chatbot-based WhatsApp market service that can serve both sellers and buyers through a WhatsApp number.
Both sellers and buyers can contact WhatsApp number 085697969039 or visit maskcare.automate.id, which shows the seller’s distribution map.
For sellers, chatbot will ask them to charge themselves and the product data. As for buyers, chatbot will serve store selection, product, postage and invoice.

Like the general market, this service has been equipped with various payment options, such as credit cards, bank transfers, virtual accounts and others. For shipping services, JNE and Tiki are available.
“Our service is free, we do not charge fees for WhatsApp, server, administrator and human resources. But for services that come from third parties, such as payment gateway fees and shipping services, there are costs,” explained Jauringkang Tabah, Founder and Executive Director (CEO) Automate.id.
Currently, there are already more than 200 vendors spread across 70 Indonesian cities that are incorporated into the platform. As of Friday, April 10, 2020, there were at least 830 orders for masks.
There are two types of masks marketed, namely cloth masks priced at Rp 1,600 to Rp 5,000 per piece, and surgical masks at Rp 3,000 per sheet.
To add services, starting next week Automate.id will add mask ordering services through Line. Another effort is to provide store sharing features so that store owners can share their stores with anyone.
“Serving its buyers is not a hassle because it has been assisted by chatbots,” said Jauringkang.
In addition to Automate.id skins, it enables store owners to provide other products, such as personal protective equipment (PPE) on their platforms. Regarding the increase in hoarding and sellers offering unreasonable prices, Automate.id has prepared anticipatory steps.
“Once there is a report going into technical service, we will immediately kick the vendor,” Jauringkang concluded.
