KOMPAS.com- After the dangdut concert in the middle of a pandemic that had long lines, Wasmad Edi Susilo, vice president of the City of Tegal DPRD, publicly apologized.
The organizer of the celebration, Wasmad, who has now been named a suspect, even specifically apologized to Jokowi.
“I personally as a friend Hajat (who has a wish) apologize, especially to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi,” he said after undergoing an examination at the Central Java Regional Police on Wednesday (9/30/2020 ).
He also apologized to authorities for the mistake he made in ignoring the police reprimand that night.
“And the Tegal Police, the ranks of the Central Java Regional Police, have processed this issue in a professional manner,” he said.

Ready to accept any decision
Wasmad admitted that he was ready to go through the legal process and accept whatever decision was made.
He was willing to endure the consequences of a dangdut concert that thousands of spectators attended without paying attention to health protocols some time ago.
“I realize that it is all my negligence, so we are willing to take personal responsibility in the context of yesterday’s incident (dangdut concert),” he concluded.
“We are good citizens of Indonesia and our country is a rule of law, we are aware and, God willing, we are ready and cooperative in the context of this ongoing (legal) process. Whatever the decision, we, as friends, we have great respect, “he continued.

The suspect has been named
As is known, the police have named Wasmad as a suspect in the case of his relatives’ dangdut concert.
Wasmad was found to have violated the law because he ignored the police warning to end the event. He was charged with the Sanitary Quarantine Law.
After this decision, Wasmad underwent an examination at the Central Java Police. 56 questions were asked of the suspect.
Wasmad admitted his mistake by performing a concert on Wednesday (9/23/2020) last night at South Tegal Field, Tegal City.
“Today we are examining the suspect on behalf of WES. He recognized that he had committed a crime and ignored the orders of the officers not to perform the concert,” explained the Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Wihastono Yoga Pranoto.
