Mikel Arteta does not worry when his position is affected by the poor performance of Arsenal. Arteta admitted that he was ready to be fired at any moment because it was a risk.

Arteta is capable of leading Arsenal to double titles this year, namely the FA Cup and the Community Shield. However, this season’s performance is far from what fans expect.

Fans were hoping that Arsenal could compete at the top again, but Arsenal’s performance was even worse. Wolverhampton’s 1-2 defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Monday (11/30/2020) early in the morning of the WIB, sent Arsenal plummeting to 14th place in the standings.

With just 13 points from 10 games, Arsenal posted their worst Premier League start since the 1980/1981 season. Even so, Arsenal’s attack line, which is inhabited by big names like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and Alexandre Lacazette, is even forceful.

This put Arteta under great pressure because he was deemed unsuitable to manage Arsenal. So it is natural when recently there has been speculation about the future of the Spanish coach.

If Arsenal don’t improve in the near future, Arteta could lose his job. Regarding this issue, Arteta admitted that he was a simple ordinary because it was his risk as a coach to be fired when the club wanted him.

“When I decided to become a manager, I knew that one day I would be fired or left the club,” Arteta said. France24.

“I don’t know if it was the day after I signed the contract, in a matter of months, a year or six months. I never worried about that,” he continued.

“My goal is just to get the best performance from the players, serve the club as well as possible and improve.”

“I repeat yes, I know in this profession, I will definitely be fired or I will leave one day. But I don’t know when that happened ”, concluded Mikel Arteta.
