KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) began distributing subsidized Internet fees to students and educators throughout Indonesia in stages starting in September.

The distribution of this free internet quota will take place over the next 4 months, from September to December, with a gradual distribution in each month (stage I: 22-24, stage 2: 28-30).

Subsequently, students or educators who have registered in their respective schools / campus will receive an SMS informing them that the tuition subsidy has been received and can be used.

So what if they haven’t received the free internet fee, even though they have registered their cell phone numbers with their respective schools / campuses?

According to the head of the Office of Cooperation and Public Relations of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Evy Mulyani, there are two reasons why this could happen.

First, the cell phone numbers of students or educators may still be in the process of being verified with the relevant cell operators. So it seems like they should wait for the quota to be distributed in the second stage, if the first stage has passed.

“It is possible that (the receiver) is still in the stage of verifying the accuracy of the cell phone number together with the operator,” Evy said when confirmed. KompasTekno through WhatsApp, Thursday (9/24/2020).

The school has not sent SPTJM

The second possibility, Evy continued, is related to educational institutions that have not submitted a Declaration of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM) to the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Because, if a school / campus has not sent SPTJM, then the Ministry of Education and Culture has not been able to distribute the quota to the students or educators in it.

“It is possible that the school / campus has not sent SPTJM to the Ministry of Education and Culture. This condition can be coordinated with the related education unit (school / campus), because the correction of the data that is responsible is the education unit “Evy said.

The Ministry of Education and Culture, through an Instagram post, called on schools / campuses to immediately send SPTJM so that students and educators can get government fee subsidies.

SPTJM can be submitted through the site https://vervalponsel.data.kemdikbud.go.id/. Kemendikbud himself, according to Evy, does not set deadlines or limits for submitting SPTJM.
