“We have temporarily suspended the PT Aqua Golden Mississippi production facilities to ensure the safety of our employees,” said Danone Indonesia corporate communications director Arif Mujahidin in an official statement received. detikcom, Tuesday (9/22/2020).

Arif ensures that this will not interfere with the quality and service of Aqua products. Meanwhile, the production of Aqua products will be transferred to other Aqua factories.

“In addition, we also ensure that this condition does not have implications for the quality and service of AQUA products and the supply for consumers is still met through our other factory facilities,” he continued.

Danone Aqua is currently focusing directly on running the factory so that it can start operating again. At the same time, providing assistance to victims affected by flash floods in the region.

“Our focus at this time is to make efforts to manage the affected factories and work together to help those affected by the flash flood,” he said.

By the condition of the employees, Arif continued, it was confirmed that all were in safe condition. “Currently all employees are in safe condition,” he concluded.

For information, the news that the Aqua factory was flooded was first spread from a video uploaded by Jakarte’s Facebook account on the social networks “Punye Cerite”. The video is also viral on the messaging app.

In the video, you can see a puddle of brown water filling the room that looks like a factory building. Several gallons were seen piled up on the steps of the wall above the puddle.

Aside from that video, there is another video showing a stack of boxes with water writing vehicles and forklifts that appear to still be active despite the floor being flooded with brown water.
