Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil (RK) and the regional heads in the areas of Bogor, Depok and Bekasi (Bodebek) will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday (10/9) this afternoon with the governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, to discuss large-scale social restrictions (PSBB).
Bogor Mayor Bima Arya said that the meeting will discuss and study the total emergency brake for Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to be implemented in DKI.
“This afternoon we will collect and study all the data. At 14:00 the head of the Bodebek region had a meeting via Zoom with the governor of DKI and West Java,” Bima said through a brief message to CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (9/10).
However, Bima was still reluctant to comment on the full PSBB decision just made by the DKI Jakarta provincial government.
“The results of the meeting will also decide, regarding the possibility of the Bodebek area participating in the Jakarta PSBB Total,” he added.
Anies is known to have re-implemented the PSBB Total in DKI Jakarta, which is scheduled to come into effect from September 14, as the increase in Covid-19 cases in the capital, which he calls, is every more worrying.
For example, related to the higher mortality rate, the ratio of positive cases or positivity rate it reached 13.2 percent in the week, or 6.9 percent since the start of the pandemic.
DKI itself previously implemented the transitional PSBB which ended on September 9. Cited on the corona.jakarta.go.id site, the number of positive cases as of Tuesday (8/9) in Jakarta reached 48,811 cases, with 1,330 of them and 36,451 recovered (74.7 percent).
The implementation of the PSBB in DKI will have an impact on the buffer areas, namely Bodetabek, which are located in the West Java and Banten provinces. This is because many residents of the area have made mobility to DKI.
