Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, removed the mayor of central Jakarta, Bayu Meghantara, and the director of the Environment Agency, Andono Warihd from office. This move is related to the crowd that occurred at Habib Rizieq Shihab’s residence in the Petamburan area during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The head of the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) Chaidir, said that both had been removed from their positions as of November 24, 2020. After being removed, both were immediately transferred as members of the Governor’s Team for the Accelerated Development (TGUPP) until new assignments are made.
The removal was based on the results of the audit by the DKI Jakarta Inspection which assessed that the two had been negligent and careless in not obeying the instructions and instructions of the Governor. “This removal is based on the results of the inspection audit,” Chaidir was quoted as saying by CNN Indonesia on Saturday (11/28/2020).

The governor’s directive contains 4 steps to take to anticipate activities that have the potential to create crowds.
