Jakarta –
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that the water sent from the Katulampa Dam, Bogor, West Java will reach Jakarta. For that, Anies asked the public to be alert.
“Tonight, Jakarta is preparing because there was heavy rains in the area upstream, where the Katulampa dam was at the Alert 1 position for about 20-30 minutes and that means there is a volume of water from mountainous areas that will reach Jakarta, “Anies Baswedan told reporters. , Monday (9/21/2020).
Anies asked his staff, especially those in the Ciliwung River Basin, to move. They have to announce that condition to their citizens.
“So tonight tonight since last night, the entire line whose areas are on the banks of the Ciliwung River have immediately notified the community to be alert,” Anies explained.
Anies predicts that the water sent from Bogor will arrive in Jakarta early this morning. “Because it is estimated that 9 to 10 hours of water from the mountainous area will reach Jakarta. It is estimated that it will arrive around 02.00-04.00 WIB,” she said.
Anies asked the residents to prepare. Evacuation sites should be prepared in flood-prone areas.
“Prepare shelters if they are affected by floods. And this time it is a little different because the shelter must include the COVID-19 health protocol,” Anies said.
“In addition to providing masks, the locations are also designed to maintain distance so that residents are also free from possible COVID-19 transmission,” he continued.
