Jakarta –
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has hit the emergency brake by imposing strict large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) from 14 September. So, are the rules the same as those of the PSBB that took place at the beginning of the pandemic?
Anies explained that there would be differences in regulations with the PSBB at the beginning of the pandemic. One of them is a local place of worship that is still open. At the beginning of the pandemic, Anies closed all places of worship without exception.
“I’ll tell you, for example, local places of worship can walk,” Anies said at City Hall, Central Jakarta, on Friday (September 11, 2020).
Anies stated that the content of the PSBB regulations will be different. It only allows activities that actually apply the principles of health protocols.
“So actually there will be a tightening, but activities at the local level that apply the correct protocol principles are still allowed. So it is different when talking about content later,” Anies said.
“This will adjust which elements we allow and which we don’t,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Anies made sure that the 11 office sectors that were authorized to operate had not changed. Tomorrow he will discuss the matter in more detail with the coordinating Minister of Economy, Airlangga Hartarto.
“If there is eleven left. Eleven doesn’t change because that’s the key. Then the Minister will discuss it, he will invite to speak we respect each other. Therefore, we will discuss it tomorrow, ”he said.
