A video showing a marine spanking a man went viral on social media. In the viral video, the man is narrated as the author of the theft of a bicycle from Navy Colonel Pangestu Widiatmoko.
Kormar Kadispen, Lieutenant Colonel Gugun Saeful Rahman, gave an explanation about the viral video. Gugun said the video had nothing to do with the incident against Colonel Pangestu.
“The video took place on May 13, 2017 around 10:00 AM WIB on Depok station,” Gugun said when confirmed. detikcom, Thursday (10/29/2020).
Gugun also explained that the video was now viral. According to Gugun, the perpetrator who was narrated as Colonel Pangestu’s kidnapper was the robbery on the Commuter Line.
The perpetrator of the assault, Gugun continued, was called Febriansyah, a resident of Pamijahan, Bogor, West Java. At that time, the perpetrator grabbed a bag that belonged to a woman named Umi Alifah, a resident of Beji, Depok.
The heist action was known to the Marines who were in charge of ensuring the condition of the KRL at the time. The perpetrator was questioned by the KRL officer and the Marine.
“They were arrested by members of the Marine Corps who were task forces on the train and members of the PKD security and conducted interrogations,” Gugun said.
In addition, Gugun said that his party had also imposed sanctions on the Marines who had flogged the assault.
“The actions of the Marines as a result of that act were also legally prosecuted by us, because they did such an act. It cannot be. So it is clear that it was a hijacker named Febriansyah, that was a video 3 years ago,” concluded Gugun.
