The DPR Body of Legislation is currently discussing the Alcoholic Beverage Prohibition Bill. Penalties or fines for consuming alcoholic beverages are also regulated.
As seen in the alcohol prohibition bill detikcom, Thursday (12/11/2020), criminal penalties for the consumption of alcoholic beverages are regulated in article 20. It says:
Any person who consumes alcoholic beverages referred to in article 7 will be sentenced to a prison sentence of at least (3) three months, 2 (two) years or a fine of at least Rp. 10,000,000 (ten million) and a maximum of Rp.50,000,000 (five). tens of millions of rupees).
Meanwhile, Article 7 mentioned in the draft law prohibiting alcoholic beverages says:
Everyone is prohibited from consuming class A, group B, class C alcoholic beverages, traditional alcoholic beverages and mixed or prepared alcoholic beverages as referred to in article 4..
Article 4 mentioned in the draft law for the prohibition of alcoholic beverages consists of 2 paragraphs. It sounds like this:
(1) Prohibited alcoholic beverages are classified according to the following classes and rates:
to. Group A alcoholic beverages are alcoholic beverages with an ethanol content of more than 1% (one percent) to 5% (five percent);
second. Group B alcoholic beverages are alcoholic beverages with an ethanol content of more than 5% (five percent) to 20% (twenty percent); Y
C. Class C alcoholic beverages are alcoholic beverages with an ethanol content of more than 20% (twenty percent) to 55% (fifty-five percent).
(2) Any alcoholic beverages based on the group mentioned in paragraph (1), alcoholic beverages including:
to. Traditional alcoholic beverages; Y
second. Mixed or mixed alcoholic beverages.
