Atlético de Madrid forward Luis Suárez came in to replace Diego Costa.
BOLASPORT.COM – Luis Suárez was recorded asking for a penalty for handball, even though it was clear that the ball hit the opposing goalkeeper in the Atlético de Madrid vs Villarreal match at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, on Saturday (03/10/2020).
In this match, the hosts failed to maximize their advantage and could only draw 0-0.
This is the second consecutive zero draw for Atlético de Madrid in the Spanish League.
Atlético de Madrid’s new striker Luis Suárez also seemed slow in this match.
Despite Suárez scoring 2 goals and 1 assist in his first game to lead Los Rojiblancos to a 6-1 victory over Granada, Ekl Pistolero was frustrated by the Villarreal defense.

In fact, Suárez is the player with the highest number of shots in the Atlético vs Villarreal match, which is three times.
However, none of Suárez’s shots could threaten Villarreal’s goal.
Two shots from Suarez went wide, while another was blocked by a Villarreal player.
Suárez was finally taken off the field by Atlético coach Diego Simeone in the 70th minute to be replaced by Diego Costa.
