Several entertainment venues were closed due to the Corona virus pandemic, including the cinema. This is not only happening in Indonesia but also in other countries, one of which is Malaysia.

Malaysia has been known to impose a blockade or movement control order (MCO) since March 2020. As a result, theaters were also closed.

The past few days, photographs of movie chairs that were moldy and dusty circulated. The hallway between the cinema chairs also seems dusty.

Reported by en.syok.my, one of the photo uploaders is the owner of the Facebook account, Chong Andy. The fungus covering the cinema seats was allegedly due to wet conditions and poor air circulation.

There is no clear explanation about the location of the cinema and when the photo was taken. But as reported by hype.my, the location is believed to be in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

There were two people looking at the mushroom-filled movie chairs. These photos were viral and provoked comments from Internet users.

“Regardless of location, ventilation is certainly poor,” said one netizen.

“This is actually good for the movies. They can finally do a massive cleanup,” said another.
