JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – After the government decided to ban the FPI mass organizations, residents sent bouquets of flowers to various government agencies, both in Jakarta and in the regions.

Bandung residents sent several flowers to the West Java Regional Police Headquarters, Kodam III Siliwangi and also Gedung Sate.

In a wreath, residents supported firm steps by the government and TNI Polri to ban the FPI’s mass organizing activities.

Flower wreaths supporting the government, TNI and Polri regarding the ban on FPI mass organizations were also seen in front of the North Sumatra DPRD office and the Medan mayor’s office.

Several residents’ wreaths were also seen on the main streets of Medan, such as the Medan Merdeka square area.

After the government officially banned the activities of the FPI, the police removed several posters and billboards belonging to the president of the FPI, Rizieq Shihab.

From the amateur video uploaded by Tommy Setiotomo’s Instagram account, the action of controlling the FPI attribute was recorded in Pondok Kacang Timur, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang on Wednesday night (12/30).

There was no resistance from residents when the police removed the advertising posters for Rizieq Shihab.

Police also appealed to residents to report if the billboards and FPI attributes were still in their neighborhood.
