KOMPAS.com – Veteran MotoGP rider from Italy, Valentino Rossi, joked that he wanted to close the VR46 academy after being defeated by two of his students in the main race o race MotoGP San Marino 2020.

In the San Marino MotoGP race that took place at the Misano circuit, Italy, on Sunday (9/13/2020) that night, Rossi had to settle for fourth place.

Two drivers who graduated from VR46, Rossi’s racing academy, Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Francesco Bagnaia (Pramac Racing), finished first and second.

Morbidelli has overtaken Rossi since the start of the race.

He appeared constantly until he became the first rider to touch the finish line at the Misano circuit.

With this result, Morbidelli successfully achieved his first victory in the MotoGP category.

Meanwhile, Bagnaia, who started the race from sixth place, only beat Rossi when he entered lap 21.

After that, he continued to show brilliant performances until he finished the race in second place.

Rossi had previously also witnessed the triumph of two of his team’s riders, Sky Racing Team VR46, Luca Marini and Marco Bezzechi, in the Moto2 race.

In response to this, Valentino Rossi joked that he would be closing his racing academy.
