PR TASIKMALAYA – Former President of the Constitutional Court Hamdan Zoelva gave his opinion on the dissolution of the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI).

Hamdan said that if the government intended to legally dissolve the FPI, it did not mean joining a banned organization like the PKI.

“This means that the FPI is not a prohibited mass organization like the PKI, but an organization declared legally dissolved and prohibited from carrying out activities using the symbol or symbol of the FPI. Hamdan wrote on Monday, January 4, 2021.

The object of the prohibition to which the government refers to the FPI refers to the symbols or attributes, as well as to all the activities that it carries out.

“There is no criminal provision that prohibits the dissemination of FPI content, therefore anyone who circulates FPI content cannot be convicted.

“Once again, the object of the ban is activities that use symbols or attributes FPI by FPI”, Hamdan continued.

Responding to Hamdan’s thread, Party politician Gerindra Fadli Zon admitted that he agreed with the explanation.

Fadli, who often defends the FPI, also “pushes” the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD.
