Jakarta – Princess Basmah bint Saud mysteriously disappeared since March 2019. The Princess of Saudi Arabia turned out to be in prison and reportedly without charge.
Putri, who has always supported women’s rights, was detained when she flew to Switzerland to seek treatment. At the time, he allegedly wanted to escape Saudi Arabia on a charter flight.
Since that incident, Putri Basmah has been imprisoned without charge or clarity. Recently, the princess appeared to the public through a series of tweets on Twitter.
Reporting from Insider, on Tuesday (5/5/2020), the princess’s official Twitter account shows a request for the launch of Princess Basmah. His health reportedly worsened during detention.
“I am currently being arbitrarily detained in Al Ha’ir prison without charge. My health has deteriorated and may cause me to die,” the tweet says.
In the series of tweets, it was also mentioned that Putri Basmah was kidnapped and imprisoned with her daughter. He also wrote the name of King Salman and Crown Prince Prince Mohammad bin Salman to grant his release.
“Release me because I did nothing wrong. My health has been very critical,” he wrote.
Putri Basmah’s family confirmed the authenticity of the tweet. The princess does not have direct access to Twitter, given the strict prison guard. Apparently the royal officer who tweeted about Princess Basmah’s wishes.
Princess Basmah’s family members also want the princess to be released immediately. They are concerned that the princess’s health is deteriorating, especially since there is no doctor to manage it.
Furthermore, there are already victims of COVID-19 in the same prison as Putri Basmah. Her family was even more afraid of the princess contracting the corona virus.

Some time ago, two sources close to the Saudi Arabian royal family confirmed that Princess Basmah had some illnesses. His condition worsened while he was in prison. One of the diidapnya is respiratory disorders.
“She (Putri Basmah) has symptoms of respiratory distress and that is why we are concerned,” said a source, reported by the Independent.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian authorities have reported more than 25,000 cases of Corona virus infection so far. However, they reportedly did not issue any official statement.
