SELASAR.CO, Tanjung Selor – The number of confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in northern Kalimantan (Kaltara) has increased again. As of Sunday (03/05/2020) there were four new cases, 3 at the Bulungan Regency and 1 at the Nunukan Regency.

Kaltara Covid-19 Handler Task Force spokesman Agust Suwandy said his party received up to 27 results from the Central Health Laboratory Laboratory (BBLK) Surabaya. Where there are 16 swab samples that are followed by positive patients that still show the same results.

Then there were seven new samples that were declared negative, two came from Bulungan, which belonged to U of 44-year-old men, and SN of 6-year-old women. While the other five samples of Tarakan, which belonged to 33-year-old male AR, 33-year-old male FA, 17-year-old male FH, 17-year-old female MR and 20-year-old female IM.

While for the addition of confirmed positive cases a person came from Nunukan, the 44-year-old male BA bag has a history of travel from outside the province.

“And three of the Bulungans on behalf of a 12-year-old male HR, a 9-year-old male HP are close contacts of previous positive cases from the GKII Langap Malinau withdrawal group,” Agust continued.

While a last case is a 20-year-old male MR, from the Temboro Islamic Boarding School group, Magetan, East Java. The patient on Bunyu Island is now referred to the Tarakan Regional Hospital.

“To date there are 126 confirmed positive cases, with six in recovery and one dying, bringing the total to 119 people,” said Agust.
