KOMPAS.com – Ecommerce site Tokopedia is reported to have experienced a hacking business. Tokopedia user data is suspected of being hacked and leaked in cyberspace.
The amount is not half-hearted, as up to 15 million users affected Tokopedia.
The leak was first revealed on Twitter @underthebreach. According to the account, millions of Tokopedia user data has been distributed on online forums.

The data collected includes usernames, emails and password hash stored in a PostgreSQL database file.

However, in the list of accounts collected in the PostgreSQL type database, it was supposedly not included with a specific code or commonly called “salt”.
This series of salt codes is used to protect the user’s password with an algorithm. Therefore, it takes time for hackers to guess and break into user accounts.
