PLN asks small business actors to submit the customer identification number, what for?

YAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government has decided to release electricity rates for customers in small business groups and small industries that use 450 VA electricity for 6 months, starting in May 2020.

Suprateka, the executive vice president of PLN, Communication and RSC, explained, the free electricity will be accepted by customers of the small business group B1 / 450 VA and the small industry I1 / 450 VA. Free distribution of electricity will use the same method as distribution of electricity to homes.

“The first stage for the home class has been fully distributed to customers who are entitled to receive,” he said in a written statement on Saturday (05/02/2020).

Free postpaid electricity customers will automatically be accepted with the release of invoices for use in accounts from May to October.

As for customers who use electric tokens, the free tokens can be obtained through the web, namely, www.pln.co.id and the Whatsapp application at the number 08122123123.

However, the mechanism of using Whatsapp will take several days because PLN has to enter the database of eligible recipients into the system in order for it to be right on target.

By Sunday, May 3, 2020, all eligible customers will be able to access the tokens received on their meter and enjoy free electricity.

“Customers can send their customer identification numbers to the above numbers through the WhatsApp application, and if the customer matches the data according to the criteria for the recipient of the free electricity program, the customer will receive a token that it can be loaded onto your prepaid meter, “Made said.

In addition, the distribution of tokens will also be carried out in collaboration with village officials to reach commercial and industrial customers who have difficulties accessing the Internet network.
